New favorite pantyhose for daily wear.

  • Ive got a new favorite pantyhose for daily wear. The Omero Luxor 40 has been my favorites for daily wear this winter. They fit me really nice and feel great under my costco jeans. I wish Omero made a 40 d stocking, I have a pair of the Creusa 15d but honestly havent tried them on yet.

  • @Bree Heels The Creusa 15D are fairly average.  They're a decent daily wear type of stocking.  They are very soft to the touch on the legs, and a bit more robust than their competition from Oroblu.  Lycia 15 by Oroblu feel lighter on the leg but also a little more fragile, at a very slightly lower price.  I have one pair of Omero Creusa 15 in Playa Nature brand new in the package left, but about 3 pairs of Oroblu Lycia 15 in a couple of different Sun based shades.  But I wear a ton of different brands in stockings.  Some of my go-to brands are Elly Cromye 20 stockings (for that classic RHT look), Trasparenze Pennac 20 (also for that back seam classic style), CdR Vidrio, CdR Barbara, Girardi Chantal 15, and a few pairs of fairly expensive Gio and Cervin 100% nylon classic stockings. (very special nights out only)

I have a pair of Omero Luxor 20 pantyhose that look really interesting, but haven't yet worn.  They are rather shiny and I don't often wear anything that attention getting, so they've been sitting in the package for several months now.  Soon, it might be too warm to wear 20 denier, so if I'm going to do it, it has to be in the spring, or I'll be waiting until the fall.  I like to have a very sheer looking leg in the summer that allows a fair bit of my natural leg tan come through the fabric.  20 denier is just a bit more coverage than I like for the warm months of the year.

  • Hi B,

Nice find! The Omero Luxor 40 sounds like a great everyday option, especially if they feel comfortable under jeans. I’ve noticed that around the 40 denier range is often a sweet spot for daily wear — warm enough for winter but still looks neat and not too heavy.

I haven’t tried the Creusa 15d myself yet either, but I’d be curious how they compare in durability and fit versus the Luxor 40 once you test them. Sometimes the lighter denier ones feel nicer but don’t last as long for regular use.

Do you usually prefer matte or slightly sheer finishes for daily wear? And how do the Luxor 40 hold up after several washes so far? Also wondering if you’ve tried other brands in the same denier range that compare well with Omero.

Looking forward to hearing how the Creusa 15d works out for you

  • @Dominique Holder You're comparing apples and oranges.  Pantyhose compared to stockings.  Do you see the problem?  How about 40 denier compared to 15 denier?  How does any of that make a fair comparison possible?  In terms of fit, wouldn't you expect there to be a huge difference between stockings and pantyhose in feel, fit, and comfort?  I certainly would.

One cannot compare durability and expect a fair fight when they are each in different categories of thread density.

I have no real life experience with 40 denier because I NEVER wear anything as opaque as that.  My max is 20 denier.  But if I were to guess, the 40 den Luxor will easily outlast the Creusa 15 by quite a margin.  Besides all of the above, Creusa 15 are only a very basic entry level stocking, whereas the Luxor 40 pantyhose are a level or 2 above what would be thought of as entry level in their category.  I'm also guessing that the Luxor 40 will likely feel really nice under clothing because of their shiny finish.  I'd be thinking there should be a nice glide factor when wearing under your jeans.
